Gospel text
Lk 10:1-12
Jesus appointed seventy-two other disciples whom he sent ahead of him.
Gospel's Commentary
Today we wonder if perhaps we too should be added to this first group of messengers of the Lord. Are those things of the past? Twenty centuries later, things haven’t changed. The same sigh is coming from God’s heart: "The harvest is abundant but the laborers are few; so ask the master of the harvest to send out laborers for his harvest." God continues to look for partners in the world to comfort the world. —"The seventy-two came back very happy." Of course they did! There is nothing better than living with Jesus, studying with Jesus ... with Jesus? Wherever you bring peace and joy, there will be Christ passing through. "Get on your way!"
