Gospel text
Lk 13:18-21
Jesus said, “What is the Kingdom of God like? To what can I compare it? It is like a mustard seed (…)."
Gospel's Commentary
Today Jesus discovers part of God’s "psychology". It all comes down to the "mustard seed". It is the smallest of all seeds (so tiny, almost invisible), but when it puts down roots and grows it becomes a bush that can cover everyone with his shadow. And it grows step by step, without making noise. That sounds weird because man usually is "Much ado about nothing". However, the "silent" God, the "hidden" God acts as the seed ... -Holy Mary, young, unknown, from an even lesser-known town ... "All generations will call me blessed": Lourdes, Fatima ... All of them -She and His chosen ones- small, insignificant, but what a whirlwind of holiness! This is how God works.
