Liturgical day: Wednesday 15th in Ordinary Time

Gospel text (Mt 11,25-27): Jesus said, «Father, Lord of heaven and earth, I praise you, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned and revealed them to simple people (…)». On one occasion Jesus said, «Father, Lord of heaven and earth, I praise you, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned and revealed them to simple people. Yes, Father, this is what pleased you. Everything has been entrusted to me by my Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him».

Today Jesus communicates us a great "secret": if you want to have faith, become small. To believe in God, the first thing is to position ourselves: who am I? Only God is God! and I recognize that I am limited. Certainly, we are intelligent, but we are also...very limited. When man does not believe in God, man invents a "god", or proclaims himself "as a god."

-Jesus is God who has become small. Will you not make yourself small before Him? The logical thing is for me to recognize my smallness while proclaiming the greatness of God. Is it not so?
