Liturgical day: Thursday 15th in Ordinary Time

Gospel text (Mt 11,28-30): Jesus spoke thus, «Come to me, all you who work hard and who carry heavy burdens and I will refresh you». Jesus spoke thus, «Come to me, all you who work hard and who carry heavy burdens and I will refresh you. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me for I am gentle and humble of heart; and you will find rest. For my yoke is good and my burden is light».

Today, in our modern times, we can see so many souls "running away" from God. They consider a "rod" (something exhausting) having to comply with God. And yet, it is the other way around: God invites us to rest in Him. Actually, what wears us out is to pretend to be "god", and taking His place. This is the cause of so many wars and so much misery. We think we can build a world without God, but all we can do is to build a world against man.

"Look around: while heathens may be "laughing" (pure laughter) Christians are "smiling" (for they are happy), even being on the Cross.
