Gospel text
Mt 14:13-21
He ordered the crowds to sit down on the grass. Taking the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up to heaven, he said the blessing, broke the loaves, and gave them to the disciples, who in turn gave them to the crowds. They all ate and were satisfied.
Gospel's Commentary
Today we witness the first multiplication of bread and fish. It is an advance of the Eucharist. We do not usually count on God and then we totally overlook Him: there is not enough for everyone! (Some "wise" assumption). "We have only five loaves here and two fish" And Jesus? Does not He mean anything? Twenty centuries and his Love and the Eucharist have never been exhausted!
