Gospel text
Lk 12:32-48
Jesus said to his disciples: “...Provide money bags for yourselves that do not wear out, an inexhaustible treasure in heaven that no thief can reach nor moth destroy. For where your treasure is, there also will your heart be."
Gospel's Commentary
Today the Master invites us to clean up our hearts. What’s in my heart? What is my treasure? Is it a treasure with "high expectations"? Or is it kidnapped by "fashions," "costumes," fleeting things ... If one lives "in disguise", then his heart ends up beaten and out of play. - «Happy are those servants whom the master finds wide-awake when he comes». For this Jesus recommends to "gird up the loins" (no disguises!) and "lamps on" ("connected" through prayer).
