Liturgical day: Tuesday 3rd in Ordinary Time

Gospel text (Mk 3,31-35): Jesus replied, «Who are my mother and my brothers?». And looking around at those who sat there he said, «Here are my mother and my brothers. Whoever does the will of God is brother and sister and mother to me». Jesus' mother and brothers came. As they stood outside, they sent someone to call him. The crowd sitting around Jesus told him, «Your mother and your brothers are outside asking for you». He replied, «Who are my mother and my brothers?». And looking around at those who sat there he said, «Here are my mother and my brothers. Whoever does the will of God is brother and sister and mother to me».

Today, Jesus’ family arrives to visit him. A crowd was sitting around Him: His Apostles, disciples and friends. They are so numerous that the poor Virgin Mary cannot get in. They advise Him...

—The Lord’s reaction fills us with joy: if I Iove the will of the Father, then Jesus loves me as a brother. Even more so: He will love me as He loves His own mother! Oh my God, how much you love me!
