Liturgical day: Friday 34th in Ordinary Time

Gospel text (Lk 21,29-33): Jesus said to his disciples, «Look at the fig tree and all the trees. As soon as their buds sprout, you know that summer is already near. In the same way, as soon as you see these things happening, you know that the kingdom of God is near». Jesus said to his disciples, «Look at the fig tree and all the trees. As soon as their buds sprout, you know that summer is already near. In the same way, as soon as you see these things happening, you know that the kingdom of God is near. Truly, I tell you, this generation will not pass away, until all this has happened: heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away».

Today we are asking Jesus: which are the "buds" that will allow us to have a foretaste of the Kingdom of God? The truth is that the Son of God became man through incarnation more than 2,000 years ago and founded the Church we now can see quite alive and spread all over the five continents. This is so!

—We will soon initiate the time of Advent, on our way to Christmas. We will celebrate again that Jesus was born and... how His love can be felt! This is His Kingdom!
