Jesus raised his eyes to heaven and said, “Father, the hour has come. Give glory to your son."
Gospel's Commentary
Today the Gospel transmits us a part of Jesus' prayer to his Father-God. Jesus Christ is already about to suffer the Passion and He, with His divine knowledge, knows it perfectly: "Father, the time has come." Christ prays for help! He is asking it for Himself and for us.
—"God, like the best parents, takes care of us. But, at the same time, we must strive and lift our eyes also to the Father in Heaven.
