Gospel text
Lk 8:1-3
Jesus journeyed from one town and village to another, preaching and proclaiming the good news of the Kingdom of God. Accompanying him were the Twelve and some women (...) who provided for them out of their resources.
Gospel's Commentary
Today we are shown an important theme: Jesus Christ, 2000 years ago, counted on women. He relied very much on their collaboration and was very attentive to femininity. In those days the woman counted for nothing. She could not even act as a witness in a trial. With Jesus, things began to change... - Who supported Jesus on Calvary? Who was in the tomb for the burial? Who found the Lord there when He resurrected? Do you need more questions? Whoever is behind the times is not God, but men!
