Gospel text
Lk 11:29-32
While still more people gathered in the crowd, Jesus said to them, “This generation is an evil generation; it seeks a sign, but no sign will be given it, except the sign of Jonah."
Gospel's Commentary
Today Jesus is conclusive. He looks disgusted! Why? He is tired of being asked for miracles, and when he does, then he is told that he is demonized ... Same old story: God is not a circus actor; He does not make miracles to entertain people, but to ease the suffering of the poor. But the "great miracle" is this one: on the third day He appeared alive (like Jonah!), after giving His Life for you on the Cross. - It’s been 21 centuries: God help us to have more faith than that "exasperating" generation.
