Gospel text (Mt 18:12-14):
If a man has a hundred sheep and one of them goes astray, will he not leave the ninety-nine in the hills and go in search of the stray?
Jesus said to his disciples, “What is your opinion? If a man has a hundred sheep and one of them goes astray, will he not leave the ninety-nine in the hills and go in search of the stray? And if he finds it, amen, I say to you, he rejoices more over it than over the ninety-nine that did not stray. In just the same way, it is not the will of your heavenly Father that one of these little ones be lost.”

Today Jesus tells us how His Father God behaves: He loves each one of us, personally. All men and women are equally important for Him. We are His children! And "in the same way, your Father in Heaven is not willing that any of these little ones should perish” Even if I were the only sinner in humanity, God would also come to this world to save me.
-Christmas: "Little God". Let us become small and recognize that we need His help.
