Gospel text (Lk 23:33.39-43): He replied to him, “Amen, I say to you, today you will be with me in Paradise.” When they came to the place called the Skull, they crucified him and the criminals there, one on his right, the other on his left. Now one of the criminals hanging there reviled Jesus, saying, “Are you not the Messiah? Save yourself and us.” The other, however, rebuking him, said in reply, “Have you no fear of God, for you are subject to the same condemnation? And indeed, we have been condemned justly, for the sentence we received corresponds to our crimes, but this man has done nothing criminal.” Then he said, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.” He replied to him, “Amen, I say to you, today you will be with me in Paradise.”

Today we see the "good thief" (Dismas) who, finding himself with "empty hands" and about to die, says: «Jesus, remember me when you arrive to your kingdom». A beautiful request and a good lesson for us: if we are poor in the spirit we will put ourselves in the hands of God. Only He can purify me to reach Heaven. -Jesus, forgive me, excuse the times I have displeased you ... Dismas asks for a "kingdom" and Jesus guarantees him the best of all kingdoms: the Paradise.

-Jesus gives Himself for all of us and we ask for this Paradise for ALL those who have already left. Someday you will also "go out" and you will want others to help you by asking for this Paradise for you.
