Liturgical day: Trinity Sunday (B)

Gospel text (Mt 28,16-20): Jesus said, «I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. Go, therefore, and make disciples from all nations. Baptize them in the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit». As for the Eleven disciples, they went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. When they saw Jesus, they bowed before him, although some doubted. Then Jesus approached them and said, «I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. Go, therefore, and make disciples from all nations. Baptize them in the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teach them to fulfill all that I have commanded you. I am with you always until the end of this world».

Today we hear the farewell words of Jesus on the day of his Ascension. He had already spoken to us about his Father and the Spirit spontaneously. Christ mentioned - with naturalness - those other two Divine Persons who are in the Heart of God. What a great mystery! They are not three gods, but the Intimacy of God is formed by Three Persons united in a single Love.

- The mission that He entrusts to us is to announce to the world this Beauty: God is Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Thrilling!
