Liturgical day: Wednesday 27th in Ordinary Time

Gospel text (Lk 11,1-4): One day Jesus was praying in a certain place and when He had finished, one of his disciples said to him, «Lord, teach us to pray, just as John taught his disciples». One day Jesus was praying in a certain place and when He had finished, one of his disciples said to him, «Lord, teach us to pray, just as John taught his disciples». And Jesus said to them, «When you pray, say this: Father, hallowed be your name, may your kingdom come, give us each day the kind of bread we need, and forgive us our sins, for we also for-give all who do us wrong, and do not bring us to the test».

Today, in this conversation, we detect the correct attitude of man before God: teach us to pray! Nothing is as beneficial as the attitude of asking for God's help and pray. The result is that the human being raise towards the divine heights. Indeed, Jesus' response is "Our Father" prayer: «Father, holy is Your Name, your Kingdom come, give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our sins ... ».

-Jesus leads us to the Father, if we let Him guide us.
