Gospel's Commentary
Today we are one week away from Christmas. Jesus is about to be born! His arrival had been largely prepared by His Father God. This is why the Gospel according to St. Matthew begins by describing Christ’s family: from His most far-off ancestors, as Abraham, to His parents, Mary and Joseph. -But look at this point! Joseph is simply mentioned as the "husband of Mary", because only God is Father of Christ. Jesus is God, because He is the Son of God-Father, but, at the same time, He is a perfect man, since He was born of a woman, Mary.
