Gospel text
Mk 1:40-45
A leper came to him [and kneeling down] begged him and said, “If you wish, you can make me clean.” Moved with pity, he stretched out his hand, touched him, and said to him, “I do will it. Be made clean.”
Gospel's Commentary
Today Jesus Christ does a big miracle: He cures a leper. Leprosy was an incurable, and indeed mortal disease. What was worst was that lepers where cast out from society. But Jesus does not cast anybody out… rather, with His divine love He is eager to cure all things. - All things! Yes, God is able to do all things! The only thing we've got to do is to ask Him like that leper did, with faith, with strength, with a conviction that God listens to us.
