Gospel text
Jn 14:15-21
"In a little while the world will no longer see me, but you will see me."
Gospel's Commentary
Today Jesus’ words sound like an eminent farewell. Indeed, in some days we will celebrate of our Lord’s Ascension into Heaven. Ascension? Yes. A beautiful mystery: Jesus will solemnly enter in Body and Spirit into Heaven, the house of his Father-God. It will be the first time that a human body is received in Heaven. Nevertheless, thanks to our faith we will keep on “seeing him”. - But Jesus will not leave us orphans. As his Ascension approaches He tells us about the Holy Spirit. Do you know who it is? Jesus will explain it to us in the upcoming days.
