The Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity (B)

Gospel text (Mt 28,16-20): Jesus said, “All power in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.” The eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain to which Jesus had ordered them. When they saw him, they worshiped, but they doubted. Then Jesus approached and said to them, “All power in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age.”

Today we hear the farewell words of Jesus on the day of his Ascension. He had already spoken to us about his Father and the Spirit spontaneously. Christ mentioned - with naturalness - those other two Divine Persons who are in the Heart of God. What a great mystery! They are not three gods, but the Intimacy of God is formed by Three Persons united in a single Love.

- The mission that He entrusts to us is to announce to the world this Beauty: God is Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Thrilling!
