Gospel text
Jn 1:29-34
John the Baptist saw Jesus coming toward him and said, “Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world... Now I have seen and testified that he is the Son of God.”
Gospel's Commentary
It is so wonderful what we discover today in the Reading: we can follow John the Baptist as he introduces Jesus to us boldly, without any fear. John tells us that Jesus is coming to us from Heaven (“he existed, before I came to being”). This statement is indeed an important one: only God can save us and promise us life eternal. - We are so thankful for the courage shown by the true witnesses of God: no hesitation, things are put clear. Witnesses to God! You, and me too, we want to be like them.
