Today, in "our time", modern medicine has definitely lengthened man’s life: now he has got more time on his hands. But do we really have time? This is the big question: or does time actually have us? The majority of people, however, have no time for God, they need the time to themselves: for their fields, for the new yokes of their oxen, for their business…

But do we really own the time to ourselves? Are we not rather running short of time? Who owns who: does man own time, or is it the other way around? Because, in actual fact, don’t we live by circumventing our own selves? Isn’t it true, perhaps, that the actual time man has is the time man has for God? Jesus Christ had time for his Father-God, and now, God has time in Him. Should not we try —time and again— to set free some of our time for God?

—O Lord God, You are the author of the time; You have blessed me by giving time to manage it by serving you. Make that "my time" really is "your time".
