Dear friend, Today, from family.evangeli.net, we present a selection of TRIVIA quizzes from the series “The History of the Church through the Saints”, featuring seven iconic figures from the 5th and 6th centuries—a period that completes the “Golden Age” of the Patristic era. Theologically speaking, these were turbulent years marked by what could be called a time of “contested theology.” It was an era in which, gradually and thanks to the guidance of the Holy Spirit, both the understanding and the articulation of the mysteries of the Christian faith began to take shape. What some Fathers and theologians managed to express ahead of their time was, on occasion, not accepted—either due to the immaturity of theological language or other reasons. Nevertheless, those insights and glimpses of truth later proved to be of great theological fruitfulness. We hope and sincerely wish that the TRIVIA quizzes from “The History of the Church through the Saints” will help you revisit and reflect upon those intense and foundational centuries in the life of the Church. You can now participate and test your knowledge, here! We remind you that the correct answer to each question is explicitly or implicitly found in the commentary on family.evangeli.net and even in the saint’s illustration. The brief explanations that accompany each correct answer are very helpful and contribute to the knowledge of the History of the Church and the saints. Warm regards, The evangeli.net Team |
