Dear friend:

Immersed in the "Year of Faith", we received a great gift from Benedict XVI: the Book "Jesus of Nazareth: the Infancy Narratives" (the third part of his trilogy on Jesus of Nazareth). We are preparing our Master for Advent services incorporating its teachings. We would like to suggest a selection from Master themes essentially dealing with the question of Jesus Christ origins:

"Advent": memory of the coming of the Saviour and the hope of his glorious return

The Incarnation of the Son of God for our salvation

Jesus Christ, true God and true man

Revelation of Jesus’ origin

The genealogy of Jesus Christ: from Abraham up to all people

Jesus Christ’s genealogy: in Jesus the promise to David of an eternal Kingdom is fulfilled

St. Joseph, the spouse of Mary and Foster father of Jesus

Only God is Jesus’ "Father" in the proper sense

St. John prologue ("Where are you from?"). Our faith in Jesus brings us to birth from God

"Rejoice" ("Kairé"): beginning of the New Testament

Visitation of the Virgin Mary to her relative St. Elisabeth

The "Magnificat" of Virgin Mary

St. John the Baptist, prototype of the attitude of Advent

By choosing the option Table of Contents you will find other Master themes related to Advent.

Furthermore, we are pleased to announce that we have added two new commentaries to "Contemplating today’s Gospel":

Not everyone who says to me: Lord! Lord! will enter the kingdom of heaven (Fr. Jean-Charles TISSOT, Freiburg, Switzerland)

Mi yoke is good and my burden is light (Fr. Jacques Philippe, Cordes sur Ciel, France)

Thank you very much!

Best Regards,

The evangeli.net Team
