Dear friends:

Being fully immersed in Lent we direct our gaze towards the 'heart' of the liturgical year: Easter Week. These are days especially dear to the disciples of Jesus; the days when Jesus Christ is ascending to Jerusalem and approaching the moment when He will offer His life for us.

We are herewith suggesting a selection of comments on Lent to facilitate you in advance this prior to Easter "ambience":

Contemplating today’s Gospel

«The king took pity on him and not only set him free but even canceled his debt»

«Do not think that I have come to remove the Law and the Prophets. I have come to fulfill them»

«I tell you, when this man went down to his house, he had been set right with God»

«Go and wash»

«Jesus saw him, and since he knew how long this man had been lying there, He said to him, ‘Do you want to be healed?’»

«No one ever spoke like this man»

«I am the resurrection»

«When you have lifted up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am He»

«As for Abraham, your ancestor, he looked forward to the day when I would come; and he rejoiced when he saw it»

«Jesus would die for (...) to gather into one the scattered children of God»
